“Dancing With The Desert Stars”; a great night of entertainment in Palm Springs!

There’s some things for certain in this beautiful city of Palm Springs. The sky is always blue, the mountains are breath taking and when The Desert AIDS Project hosts an event, you are, without a doubt, going to have a memorable and fabulously enjoyable time!

“Dancing with the Desert Stars” with proceeds to benefit DAP, was one such event. It had all the glorious glitz and glamor of Hollywood, right here in the beautiful Palm Springs Convention Center.

Though the “stars” were not professional dancers, they worked tirelessly to do an exemplary job. All taking time from their real professions to assist and support the wonderful work of the Desert AIDS Project.

Incomparable performer Scott Nevins, fan of and friend to Palm Springs and DAP, was the perfect co-host for the event. Always lending charm, hilarious humor and it has to be said, great looks to every event he participates in, and there are many!

Also funny and very exuberant was co-host ChiChi Rones, interviewing the dancers backstage after each performance. There was never a dull moment or lull in the fun.

A panel of celebrity judges included Leslie Jordan, disco diva, Thelma Houston - who doesn’t remember “Don’t Leave Me This Way” and Anya Fuchs.

Two well known valley residents, Lorna Luft and Barry Manilow, who generously give of their time, talent and generosity in support of DAP as well as countless other organizations in the Coachella Valley were among the attendees,

Kudos to Dave Morgan and Reaction Marketing for putting together a fabulous evening. The timing, video, music and production was seemless.

Bravo to the dancers, Elizabeth Beaufien with Samual Chea; Jason Dibler with Joanna Lys; Jill Langham with Evan Knapp; Dr. Rene DeeAcqua with Joshua King; Nathan Clardy with Kristin Staszek; Kevin Bass with Brandi Lopez; Ron Duran with Alexis Carra and Ginger Jeffries with James Everly who all created a most enjoyable night.

Last but surely not least, as always, CEO of DAP, David Brinkman, is a perfect gentleman who never fails to eloquently give thanks and recognition to all who support the Desert AIDS Project. The way in which he handles his role is a conducive inspiration to making you want to do all you can to help.

I hope “Dancing with The Desert Stars” will be an annual event!.
