Register now for the Palm Springs AIDS Walk October 22 to benefit the Desert AIDS Project!

Autumn is just around the corner, and with it comes the glorious weather that made the triple digits of a Palm Springs summer bearable.

Need a perfect reason to get back outside, have fun with friends, burn off calories earned during lazy days at the pool and help a worthy cause? Well you need look no further! Register now to join over 1,100 people who’ll participate in the City’s largest outdoor AIDS fundraising event:

The Desert AIDS Project 24th Palm Springs AIDS Walk and Community Health & Wellness Festival Saturday, October 22nd, 2011.

The day of excitement begins with registration at 7:30 am at Ruth Hardy Park. Loosen up with a stretch while enjoying the incomparable talent of Comedian and TV personality Scott Nevins who will emcee and entertain during the event.

Step off at 9:30 am for a scenic 5K walk through the Movie Colony and downtown Palm Springs. Planners for the event promises “plenty of amusing and entertaining surprises along the route”

There’s no minimum distance required. When your walk is done, kick back and relax those muscles while enjoying lunch and entertainment.

There’s lots of incentives and prizes. Bring family, friends, kids, even your furry “well behaved” pals are welcome.
