Something big is always happening in Palm Springs. As visitors here for the Dinah Shore last week leave town with great memories, new visitors arrive this weekend to create memories at the annual White Party, billed as “The world’s largest gay dance music festival weekend.”
Jeffrey Sanker, who Miami Herald called “the high priest of gay parties,” is the founder of White Party Entertainment Inc. and creator of the annual White Party in Palm Springs. He also produces fundraising events for organizations Gay & Lesbian Elder Housing, The Trevor Project, and The Desert AIDS Project.
The weekend starts early: Thursday at 8pm, join DJ Michael Paul at the beautiful Renaissance Hotel, official host of the White Party. Renaissance will also host special live performances on Friday from noon to 6pm.
Starting at 9pm on Friday, is the Boxers or Briefs Boot Camp Party at the Renaissance Hotel Events Center. Thousands of men in boxers or briefs will converge on the dance floor, partying to mixes by DJs Theresa and Hector Fonseca, along with other surprises, until 4am.
Don’t sleep too late or you’ll miss the Spring Break Pool Party on Saturday from 10am to 6pm with DJs Manny Lehman, Bobby Blanco, and Luke Johnstone. As a special treat, suntan oil boys will be on hand at the VIP cabanas.
At 9pm on Saturday, head to the Palm Springs Convention Center for sensory overload. Step into the transport tunnel to enter a realm of men, music, and muscle as you blast off into White Party 2011. Your imagination will run wild inside a virtual cyber-world of full-frequency digital sound, state-of-the art lighting, special effects, and synchronized LED screens delivery a fully-immersive experience. Party with thousands while the talents of DJ Joe Gauthreaux, Grammy-nominated Dave Aude, and Grammy-winning Peter Rauhofer entertain, while live performances by special guests electrify the stage all night. And don’t miss DJ Chi Chi LaRue in the Diamond Pop Lounge!
Still in the mood for more? From 4am to 10am, you can enter the realm of the supernatural inside the Renaissance Hotel Events Center for a late-night Nocturnal After Hours party with turbo charged-sounds and lights.
Don’t rest yet–head back to the Renaissance Pool from 11am to 3pm for Sunday’s edition of the Spring Break Pool party with DJ Kimberly S and special live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
From 3pm to 10pm on Sunday, there’s the largest outdoor T-Dance event in North America happening directly across from the Palm Springs Convention Center, where 10,000 of the hottest men from all over the world will come together for an unforgettable celebration featuring UK duo the Freemasons, returning by popular demand, and joined by DJ Wayne G.
Take a ride on the famous White Party Ferris Wheel, hold on tight aboard the new 100 foot tall Super Shot thrill ride, and enjoy the incredible choreographed fireworks finale, featuring a White Party remix created especially for this event by the Freemasons.
Keep it going just a while longer with the closing party at the Renaissance from 10pm until 7:30am Monday morning with DJ duo Rosabel, blending house anthems and tribal beats.
